Introduction

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is operating a scheme of implementation of Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Schemed under National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme. Under the 12th Five Year Plan scheme has upgraded and Ministry has set a target of 500 clusters for implementation. QCI has been appointed as one of the National Monitoring and Implementation Unit (NMIU) for the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme under National Manufacturing Competitiveness programme.

Empanelment Of Lean Consultants

Eligibility Criteria

NABET – QCI will be empanelling Lean Manufacturing Consultant as per following details :

Individual Consultants

Consultants registered with QCI and having experience in the field of manufacturing technology, quality control, lean tools and techniques etc.

Consultants registered with or certified by a reputed certification agency and having experience in the field of manufacturing technology, quality control, lean tools and techniques etc.

Empanelment Process

NABET Accredited Training Course Provider with experience in the field of manufacturing technology, quality control, lean tools and techniques etc.

NABET Accredited Training Course Provider with experience in the field of manufacturing technology, quality control, lean tools and techniques etc.

International/ National/ Reputed Consultancy Organizations with experience in the field of manufacturing technology, quality control, lean tools and techniques etc.

Note:

NMIU will consider Lean Consultant referred by SPV. These consultants will also have to undergo the process Training and Certification as prescribed for other Individual Consultants/ Consultant Organization

Information/Updates

(NMCP Scheme of Ministry of MSME)

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (DC- MSME). Government of India is implementing “Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme (LMCS)”, for the benefit of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises during the 12th Five Year Plan. The scheme will be implemented in 500 Mini Clusters during the 12th Five Year Plan. A three tier structure has been envisaged in the scheme. Mini Cluster will work along with the Lean Manufacturing Consultant to implement the specific Lean Technique/s in the cluster.

National Monitoring and Implementation Units (NMIU) forms the second tier and will be responsible for facilitation, implementation and monitoring of the Scheme. At the highest level is Screening and Steering Committee to provide overall direction to the Scheme. For details, please refer MSME website – http://www.dcmsme.gov.in/schemes/nmcp_scm.htm Quality Council of India (QCI), NABET has been appointed as National Monitoring and Implementation Unit (NMIU)in the 12th Five Year Plan of the Scheme. Apart from other responsibilities as NMIU in the Scheme, QCI will also be responsible for empanelment of Lean Manufacturing Consultant for the Scheme. QCI invites application from eligible Lean Manufacturing Consultants and Consulting Organizations for empanelment as per criteria given in QCI website.
