The Education Division (ED) of the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), Quality Council of India (QCI), is committed to advancing excellence in education by strengthening quality systems across institutions. Aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat and the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP), the division enables systemic transformation through accreditation, assessments, policy recommendations, quality frameworks, guidelines, evaluations, and institutional improvement initiatives.

With the vision of taking “Quality to Every Pincode of the Country,” NABET Education Division works across the complete education ecosystem — from pre-primary and K-12 education to higher education, professional institutions, and government education programmes. Inspection of Nursing and Paramedical Institutions in Uttar Pradesh
  • Conducted inspections of 2000+ Nursing & Paramedical colleges for a period of 3 years as per the assessment framework designed by the Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty (UPSMF).
  • Submitted detailed inspection reports along with recommendations for the grant of No Objection Certificate (NOC) for affiliation.
Assessment and Rating of Nursing and Paramedical Institutions in Uttar Pradesh
  • Comprehensive assessment and rating of 700+ Nursing & Paramedical institutions across Uttar Pradesh through a centrally managed Project Management Unit (PMU).
  • Designed and implemented a technology-enabled quality assurance framework involving live streaming, video recording, digital data capture, and standardized assessment protocols to ensure transparency and consistency.
  • Established a field validation mechanism comprising technical and non-technical assessors, supported by 20 Quality Coordinators (QCs) for real-time guidance, supervision, and quality monitoring.
  • Instituted a shadow assessment mechanism, with independent observers visiting nearly 70% of institutions during assessments to verify compliance, improve data integrity, and strengthen the credibility of the evaluation process.
  • Enabled evidence-based assessment of institutional infrastructure, academic processes, governance, and clinical training facilities for quality benchmarking and continuous improvement.
Assessment and Rating of Pharmacy Institutions across country
  • Conducted the assessment and rating of 500+ Pharmacy Colleges under the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The framework evaluated institutions across on key parameters including Curriculum, Clinical Experience, Teaching-Learning Environment, and Research Output & Impact, to assess institutional quality and compliance. Assessment reports were submitted to the Council to support quality benchmarking and continuous improvement of Pharmacy education institutions.
Assessment and Rating of Homeopathic Institutions across country
  • Conducted the assessment and rating of 400+ Homoeopathy Medical Colleges under the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) in 2 different cycles. The framework evaluated institutions across 86 key parameters divided under 11 criteria, including Curriculum, Clinical Experience, Teaching-Learning Environment, and Research Output & Impact, to assess institutional quality and compliance. Assessment reports were submitted to the Commission to support quality benchmarking and continuous improvement of Homoeopathy medical education institutions.
Assessment and Rating of Ayurvedic Institutions across country
  • Conducted the assessment and rating of 450+ Ayurveda Colleges under National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) in 2 different cycles. The framework evaluated institutions across key parameters divided under 11 criteria, including Curriculum, Clinical Experience, Teaching-Learning Environment, and Research Output & Impact, to assess institutional quality and compliance. Assessment reports were submitted to the Commission to support quality benchmarking and continuous improvement of Ayurveda education institutions.
Quality Intervention in teaching learning process to improve learning outcomes of students
  • NABET-QCI developed and implemented a structured methodology to improve the learning outcomes of students in 128 schools under the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) through interventions in the teaching–learning process for Classes I to X.
School Development Index (Assessment of Schools under Delhi Govt. & Allied Agencies)
  • Comprehensive Assessment & Evaluation of all schools under Delhi Government & other allied agencies: The School Development Index (SDI), a comprehensive evaluation of all schools of Delhi leading to ‘quality assurance’ & ‘quality sustenance’ in school education. The exercise involved the evaluation of 5537 schools across Delhi from November 2018 to May 2019. The evaluation was an aggregate of four themes as categorized under the Safety and Security Index, Teaching and Learning Index, Social Inclusion Index and Parent Participation Index. NABET-QCI successfully completed evaluation of all the schools by 29th April 2019.

  • Rapid Assessment Survey of DVC Schools covering infrastructure, learning outcomes, teaching learning process & stakeholder survey.
Assessment of Tribal Schools and Hostels
  • Conducted assessment of 246 residential school hostels leading to quality assurance and quality sustenance in Keonjhar & Sambalpur block.
  • Conducted assessment of 1283 residential school hostels covering 10 districts in Odisha.

  • Conducted Impact assessment for the Swift School Program of schools under Government of Gujarat.
Quality Intervention in teaching learning process to improve learning outcomes of students
  • NABET-QCI developed and implemented a structured methodology to improve the learning outcomes of students in 128 schools under the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) through interventions in the teaching–learning process for Classes I to X.
Test Audit of CBSE Affiliation Process
  • Conducted test audits to study the CBSE affiliation and inspection process and identify overlapping and duplication, if any, with recommendations for improvement.
  • Assessed schools against affiliation parameters derived from the CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018.
  • Examined whether affiliated schools-maintained compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements under the CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018 after obtaining affiliation.
  • Studied the impact of quality parameters beyond input parameters on key processes and school outcomes, and identified areas for improvement.
  • Conducted a test audit of the affiliation process and recommended a framework for audit of affiliation by an external agency to enhance the effectiveness of the audit exercise.
